The biggest racing event in the South East is a spectacular combination of fashion, live music, racing and social interaction. Whether you’re dining in a fully catered marquee or enjoying the trackside atmosphere, the carnival is an example of regional racing at its best. Celebrity guests and Big Screen coverage add to the glamour that culminates in the running of the Mt Gambier Cup on Friday. It’s the only course in the South East to have jumps racing, and around 6,500 people enjoyed the spectacle in 2005 (5000 of them on Cup Day). It’s a sensational event, with a huge party on Friday night. And best of all, you have the weekend to recover and unwind in a beautiful part of the country.
