WOMAD stands for World Of Music Arts & Dance. WOMADelaide is the only WOMAD event in Australia and it is considered by many to be Australia's best outdoor music festival. The 2007 festival will be held in Botanic Park from 9th to 11th March, 2007.
WOMADelaide is produced by the WOMADelaide Foundation and managed by Arts Projects Australia and WOMAD Ltd. APA directors and associates established the first WOMADelaide festival as part of the biennial Adelaide Festival of Arts in 1992 and, since then, APA has handled the artistic direction, marketing and project management of the internationally-renowned and highly successful event.
